How do I know the moulding powder is safe to use on my baby's skin?
The moulding powder we use is called chromatic alginate. It is used to make dental casts so therefore is totally safe for use on a babies delicate skin. It doesn't stick to the skin as it dries to a
rubbery substance which is easy to get off with a warm cloth.
How long do I need to have my childs hand in the moulding powder for?
Approx 2–3 minutes. You will have to keep your child’s hand in the alginate. It's much easier to do this just after your child has woken up or just had a big feed. The more relaxed they are the easier it will be on you and them.
What happens if I make a mistake and need more products, do I have to order an entirely new kit?
Refills are available. Please contact us if you require any extras. We will be happy to help you with that.
What if I only want 2 casts?
We believe everyone should be able to have a beautiful cast that they can treasure, so I can make up any size kits for any age child or even adult. Please contact me about this.
The moulding powder is setting too quickly?
We have tested out a ratio that we think is suitable. We feel it is easy to work with and you should have minimal trouble with setting time and mixing.
We always recommend you use cold water, as this gives you a little extra time.
Can I do the mould by myself or do I need someone else’s help?
You can do the mould by yourself but we do recommend having the help of someone else as your child really does need to be quite still for you to get a good mould and we want you to get a good result the first time.
How is the cast created?

Can I reuse the mould?
Unfortunately not as it needs to be broken away from the plaster cast.
How can I pay for my order?
Credit Card or PayPal
All orders are placed using Paypal's secure and trusted purchasing system. You can pay through PayPal using your credit card or a PayPal account.
Mastercard, Visa and American Express are accepted. Choose the products you want to purchase and add them to your shopping cart. Your shopping cart details will open in a new PayPal page and automatically update if you add more items.
On completion of payment you will be taken back to our website.
Internet Banking or Direct Credit
If you prefer to pay by internet banking or direct credit please contact us and indicate which items you wish to order. We will let you know the total payment required along with our bank details which can also be found on our Payment Options page. We'll then watch for your payment to come through before sending your order.
Are there extra charges for postage and packaging?
All kits are packaged in gift boxes ready for giving away if you should wish to do so.
Packaging is included in our prices.
Postage is automatically added to your shopping cart when you add an item.
Items are posted within 2 working days of your payment being cleared and are sent using Fastway couriers that require a signature on delivery. All deliveries to Post Office boxes or Rural Delivery addresses will be posted via NZ Post with Track and Trace.
We cannot offer overseas posting at this stage.
How can I place a bulk order?
